You are not alone! Many people suffer from joint pain and dysfunction, which can cause decreased range of motion and inflammation throughout the body. Many individuals find themselves with physical limitations affecting their professional and personal lives. According to the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases “Low back pain is currently the number one cause of disability in the world” in fact 31 million people in America are suffering from the symptom of low back pain according to research provided by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). Chiropractic is about restoring motion at each segmental joint to resolve these and many other symptoms.

The key to a proper care plan is understanding how you got to this point of pain, how to recover from your current issue and then how to start “feeling better”
Your body functions as one organism and the symptoms you feel are not usually caused by one specific area in the body. Our care plan is designed to look at your pain, your environment, your lifestyle and your goals for overall health.
The care plan must be designed to focus on the specific symptoms and then the treatment must be centered around your muscular and skeletal structure to address the problem. In addition we will need to examine your current lifestyle including a deeper look at your nutrition, exercise and stress factors through our Spinal Health Assessment (SHA).
This is our favorite question and favorite part! Once we have gotten you out of pain and helped you to understand what caused the pain in the first place we can now help you take a deeper look at how to make sure your environment and your choices don’t put you here again. We have a variety of tools like our Lifestyle Health Risk Assessment (LHRA) and our 90 day Lifestyle plan to help kick off what is known in the literature as the “maintenance period”. According to a study from the Journal Spine, by Senna MD – Machaly MD, it was shown that the treatment we took to resolve acute pain SMT (Chiropractic care) must be maintained in order to see the most positive results in pain and disability scores of the participants. In order to lead a healthy life we must continually take care of ourselves with intentional choices focused on eating well, moving well, thinking well.
