Dr. Anthony’s Avocado Green Smoothie
Avocados are very popular. We see it in guacamole, and it seems like everyone wants to add it as a side or topping to a variety of dishes. There is even a green avocado mattress company? This popularity is for good reason, avocados are delicious but they are also very nutritious. They have a high healthy fat content. They are especially high in omega 3’s which is anti-inflammatory. Most people may not realize that an avocado is actually a fruit. There are not many fruits that have a high fat content and that aren’t very sweet which makes avocados very unique.
I like adding avocados to green smoothies because it creates an amazingly smooth consistency. The fat content also makes you feel fuller longer so it is a great addition to anyone trying to lose weight or stay healthy. This recipe I will be adding one half of an avocado.

Green smoothies are fast and a great way to get a ton of nutrition into daily habits. Remember eating well is just one of the factors that leads to a healthy individual. - 1 handful organic supergreens
- ½ organic avocado
- ½ organic frozen banana
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup organic almonds
