Blueberry for Inflammation

Video by Dr. Antonio Flaquer

As I tell my Chiropractic patients in East Dallas, one of the biggest things that people forget when it comes to lowering inflammation, reducing neck and back pain and taking care of their health, is what they are putting into their body. Now this is simple, but most people make it difficult because they believe they need to be on a certain “diet” in order to be healthy. There is apart of that statement that is true which is eating cleaner or healthier will help with the healing process overall. But, does it really have to be called a diet? Or can it be a lifestyle choice that you just decide to choose and say I have to eat healthy or else my body will not be able to function at the optimal level that it’s supposed to. This is why we talk about nutrition all the time in the office with our patients, because what you put into your body dictates how it will function. The green smoothies are something that can easily allow you to get most of the micronutrients that your body is missing. It’s definitely something that helps us get back on the horse in order for healing to take place within our bodies.

The beauty of it is that it only takes about 5 minutes in order to mix one of these up, and they are pretty delicious and refreshing as well. It’s actually a good snack to eat during your lunch time, rather than a heavy meal so you don’t physically crash. I know if you’re reading this, you’ve gone through that feeling because we all have. So it’s important to make sure you put the right stuff into your body, that way your body can function physically, and mentality which will allow you to be more productive in the long run. It’s simple, if you eat cleaner your body will be rewarded and reward you with a better feeling physically. Make sure you make the right choices and give your body the fuel it deserves and needs.
