Relieve Low Back Pain with This Core Exercise

As a Chiropractor this is one of the most common injuries, I see that come into the office almost every day. Low back pain is not a fun thing to deal with, yet many of us have learned to manage the pain and just continue on with life. Well, I’m here to tell you that you should NOT manage the pain and just go throughout your day as if nothing is wrong when clearly there is something wrong. I can guarantee you the reason why you are experiencing low back pain is because there is a lack of motion within the lumbar spine and probably else where on your body. Lack of motion causes inflammation and inflammation leads to pain. What my goal is for anybody who is experiencing any type of back pain is to help restore that motion they have lost within those certain segments of the spine. The goal is to not only get you out of pain, but to keep you out of pain. How do we do that you ask? By making sure we adjust the segments that need to regain there proper motion and by implementing the exercises to promote stability of those adjustments. In order for the segments and the adjustments to “stick”, we need to do some work in the beginning such s stretches focusing on mobility first. The next thing will be strengthening those muscles to make sure we now hold those adjustments in place so you do not lose those adjustments and for the segments to go back to where they all started. The exercise I have here for you is to help strengthen your core so you can take some pressure off your low back and have an overall better posture. Core work plays a big role in having the correct lumbar curvature, that way you can go back to enjoying life and doing the things you want to do pain free.
