If you feel rundown, weak or fatigued throughout the work week (or even into the weekend), you have to make sure you’re fueling the body with the right things every day.  The standard American diet (fittingly abbreviated SAD) lacks the proper vitamins and minerals we need to properly get up through the day with enough energy.  It also contributes to almost every single health condition most people face day in and day out.  In our typical diets we are getting roughly 20:1 Omega-6’s to Omega 3’s, meaning our diets are INCREDIBLY Pro-inflammatory.  This prevents our body from functioning at an optical level and over years that compounds to equal disease.  Adding foods that are ANTI-inflammatory helps us combat that and allow our bodies to get back into a state of balance and fight off disease properly.  The avocado in this smoothie not only gives it a great texture, but allows us to tip the scale back towards a proper level of Omega 3’s.  Below are a couple keys quotes from the attached research that highlight the importance of Omega 3’s.
