Green Smoothie for Muscle Recovery

Daily fruits and vegetables play a very important role for us to recover and heal properly every day.  It is the lingering inflammation from poor movements or poor diet that can manifest over time into increased tightness, pain, and discomfort.  Our green smoothie recipes are here to act as a shortcut for us to get those fruits and vegetables in if we struggle to get them through our diet.  This recipe contains apples which not only provide fiber for us to digest better, but the vitamin c also helps our cells and muscle tissue recover better as well.  Below are a couple findings from the attaches research that show how vitamin c can play a role in our bodies muscle recovery throughout the day.

“Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, antioxidant, and essential co-factor for collagen biosynthesis, carnitine and catecholamine metabolism, and dietary iron absorption”

“Humans are unable to synthesize vitamin C, so it is strictly obtained through the dietary intake of fruits and vegetables”

When it comes to how we approach pain, our Chiro Health clinics always address the foods and nutrients that our patients consume for this exact reason.  We need to ensure the body has the ability to health from the inside out, because this is important for not only getting out of pain but staying out of pain.
