Strawberries to Lower Inflammation

Everybody loves a good green smoothie, but what’s in it is the important thing. Most of the time most people try and put lots and lots of fruit in to make it sweet so it’s not so bland. The only thing with that is they don’t realize they are adding a lot of unnecessary sugar. But, one of the best things you can put into any smoothie are strawberries. They are loaded with antioxidants which help lower inflammation, vitamin C, and they help lower the risk of chronic diseases such as, cancer, diabetes, stroke and heart disease. Strawberries can help lower inflammation along with many other health benefits and so can green smoothies, but it really depends on what all you’re putting into your body overall. If you constantly are eating burgers or pizzas and fatty meals, then obviously inflammation is always going to be there. This is why we talk about how the green smoothie is more of a “short cut”. But there really isn’t a short cut to health. The green drink is just something to make sure you don’t fall off track, and make sure you’re getting the proper nutrients that you need throughout your day. In today’s world, you’re not getting the proper nutrients that you need to be getting in order to fight off inflammation or make sure you’re staying healthy. What people don’t realize, is what they eat plays a huge role into how their bodies function. Your body is a vehicle just like a car. With a car, you need to put good fuel into the car in order for it to run correctly, well the same is for your body. if you feed bad fuel, don’t be surprised that your body starts decaying a pain starts setting in places that you’ve never had before. It’s because you’re just given yourself bad fuel. Here are some quotes from the research talking about the health benefits of strawberries.

“Strawberries are a good source of natural antioxidants and antioxidant enzymes which provide protection against harmful free radicals and play an important role in protecting human health.”

“Therefore, eating more fruits and vegetables including strawberries has been associated with lower incidence and mortality rates of cancer, heart disease and a number of other human diseases.”
