Mid Back Pain Relief

Banded T-ROWS for Mid Back Pain Relief
This is a great exercise for strengthening the midback and creating more mobility. As we talk about all the time in the office, mobility is a huge component to helping you stay out of pain. You will always here all the doctors talk about Hilton’s Law. This is a law that a medical doctor came out with and was a big advocate for motion. He said and I quote, “the nerve that innervates the joint, also innervates the muscles, ligaments, tendons and skin that cross the joint.” So, what does this mean? Well, when a joint is not getting motion the way it should be, one of those structures is not functioning properly which causes inflammation within the joint which then leads to pain. This is why some people are always trying to twist their upper bodies in their chairs at work because they are trying to get some type of “relief” in their mid or low back. That “relief” is most of the times a pop and that pop is just a release of gas within the joint space. But this does not mean that you are adjusting your spine the correct way. Our chiropractors make sure we look at the entire spine and body to make sure that we give you the best care you deserve and make sure that we focus on the area of complaint. Our team makes sure that we get you setup with exercises like this one that is specific for your needs. This is a great exercise to make sure we’re moving the whole back in a full range of motion to help create some motion through those stiff joints that are giving you some trouble. As I mentioned in the video, I would knock out 2 sets of 15 – 20 reps on each side to help avoid mid back pain. This exercise is not a cure to take away your back pain, it just helps limit the pain. So, if you or someone you know is dealing with some type of mid back or neck pain, give us a call and come see one of our doctors to make sure we get you checked out and get you back to living life the way you deserve to!
