Chiropractic and Nutrition

The right nutrition combined with chiropractic care can help you stay healthy, reduce inflammation, and keep neck and back pain from slowing you down. Yogurt is a nutrient-dense food that supports overall digestive health by promoting a balanced and diverse gut microbiome. It contains live and active cultures (probiotics) that help populate the gut with beneficial bacteria, which can improve digestion, enhance nutrient absorption, and support immune function. Yogurt is also a high-quality protein source, providing all essential amino acids in a form that is easier for the body to digest compared to many other protein sources, making it especially beneficial for muscle repair and metabolic health. Additionally, the fermentation process breaks down lactose, allowing many individuals who are lactose-sensitive to tolerate yogurt more easily, while also producing bioactive compounds that support gut lining integrity and reduce digestive discomfort.

Research

” Yogurt can significantly improve digestion by supporting a healthy balance of gut bacteria and enhancing the efficiency of the digestive process. The live and active cultures found in yogurt, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains, help maintain microbial diversity in the gut, which is essential for proper breakdown of food and absorption of nutrients.”

” Yogurt is an excellent source of high-quality protein that plays a key role in muscle building and recovery. It contains all essential amino acids needed for muscle protein synthesis, with particularly high levels of leucine, a critical amino acid for stimulating muscle growth.”

” This combination makes yogurt a convenient, digestible, and effective food for individuals looking to build and maintain lean muscle mass.”
