Nutrition for Reducing Inflammation
Shared by Dr. Byron Morgan

Inflammation plays a major role in chronic neck and back pain, often contributing to stiffness, tension, and restricted movement. At our East Dallas chiropractic office, we focus on reducing inflammation by restoring proper spinal motion, decreasing joint stress, and supporting a healthy nervous system. Chiropractic care helps the body heal more efficiently—but healing doesn’t stop in the adjustment room. Nutrition matters too.
Ginger and garlic are widely studied for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. These ingredients are commonly used in my own meals because they support recovery, immune function, and overall health while remaining simple and enjoyable to prepare.
Clinical studies show that ginger supplementation can reduce inflammatory markers and muscle soreness, while garlic has been shown to improve inflammatory and cardiovascular markers in humans.
Eating well plays a critical role in reducing inflammation and supporting tissue healing. Proper nutrition complements chiropractic care by supplying the body with nutrients needed for recovery and pain reduction.
