Recovery and Fighting Inflammation

At Texas Chiro Health of Lakewood in East Dallas, we’re all about real food that helps you heal faster and feel better. This high-protein chicken gyro bowl is not only packed with flavor—it’s built to support your body’s recovery. A 2025 study by Balaji et al. showed that individuals consuming higher amounts of protein experienced less soreness and faster recovery than those eating less. That means meals like this aren’t just tasty—they help reduce pain and inflammation from the inside out. With lean chicken, Greek yogurt, and fresh veggies, this bowl offers the perfect post-workout or end-of-day option for anyone healing from injury, working on fitness goals, or just trying to move and feel better. Eat well, heal well.

How to Make It

Serves 2 | ~50g protein per bowl

  • 1 lb grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice or quinoa
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt tzatziki (or plain Greek yogurt with lemon, garlic & dill)
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, optional
  • Salt, pepper, oregano, to taste
  1. Grill or pan-sear chicken with olive oil and seasonings.
  2. Build your bowl with rice/quinoa as a base.
  3. Top with chicken, veggies, and a scoop of tzatziki.
  4. Garnish with parsley and a squeeze of lemon.

Eat up—and give your body the tools it needs to heal and thrive.
