Reduce Inflammation with Vitamin C
Video by Dr. Jake Goodman
As Chiropractor’s in East Dallas, we teach our patients that reducing inflammation is a key factor in reducing pain. That’s why we are always sharing recipes with ingredients that help keep you healthy and reduce inflammation. This Vitamin C Immunity Smoothie is a powerhouse blend designed to support immune health, skin vitality, and energy metabolism. Fresh oranges and orange juice provide a double dose of vitamin C, a key nutrient shown to reduce the duration of colds and enhance collagen production. Frozen cherries add anthocyanins, compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, while carrots supply beta-carotene to strengthen antioxidant defenses. Plain yogurt delivers probiotics for gut health, and honey adds natural sweetness along with antibacterial properties. Blended with ice, this smoothie is both refreshing and functional—ideal for breakfast, post-workout recovery, or an afternoon energy lift.
