Reduce Sciatic Pain

Video by Dr. Trent Yeomans

If you’ve ever dealt with sciatic pain, you know how frustrating it can be. Sharp pain down the leg, numbness, tingling, low back pain that just won’t let up, it can make sitting, standing, or even sleeping uncomfortable.

As Chiropractors in East Dallas, one of the most common things I see in the office is sciatica caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve, often from disc issues or poor spinal movement in the low back. The good news? Research supports chiropractic care as an effective option.

A systematic review published in the European Spine Journal found that spinal manipulation was associated with improvements in pain and function in patients with acute lumbar radiculopathy (sciatica) compared to conservative management (Leininger et al., 2011).

What does that mean for you?

It means restoring motion to the spine, improving joint mechanics, and reducing nerve irritation through chiropractic adjustments can help decrease low back pain and leg pain associated with sciatica. When the joints of the lumbar spine move better, pressure on the nervous system can decrease and that often translates to less pain and better mobility.

In my office, we focus on helping patients move well through a combination of chiropractic adjustments, mobility work, and strengthening exercises so you’re not just masking symptoms you’re addressing the root cause.

If you’re struggling with sciatic nerve pain, low back pain, or leg numbness, chiropractic care may be a natural, non-invasive option to help you move and feel better.
